Climatic Response and Construction

Passive Solar – double glazed low-e thermally separated aluminium (AWS/SGA)
White set core filled concrete block with external bulk insulation and spotted gum cladding
White set core filled concrete block with polystyrene (HCFC free) and external local rock face
Plasterboard ceiling R-6 bulk and blanket insulation (polyester) custom orb roofing with stainless internal gutters
Designed to Bal 29 bushfire regulations
Insulated ground slab and Indoor pool provide thermal storage
Steel Frame + HWD joists to deck

A building that sits well within the greater natural environment. Utilising natural local and on-site materials. The house provides distinct zones for parents, children and entertainment. This was the first private residence undertaken by Regional Architects.
